not sure if i will manage to finish the bike here in NL, don't feel so much for taking it to Norway... we'll see..

It sounds terrific to foreigners, to believe that we can ride snowscooters just because we have snow. Not quite right. Depending on where you live of course, but in general it is quite difficult to ride snowscooters legally. Even for us in the Red Cross, who need to use these on occations, we have trouble to get permissions to train on driving here in "the lowlands".scheffers skrev:I know, if i would take it to Norway it would go in parts, build it up in Norway and take it back to Holland for selling afterwards.. hope to get it done before going to Norway and sell it here in NL.
I'd like to start on a snowscooter custom project in Norway!

You should check with Brønnøysund municipality before you start the build. You may well get permission if you can package it in a nice wrappingAll motorized traffic outside habitable areas are regulated by law. The main principles are that recreational use of motorized vehicles are generally prohibited, but may be permitted if certain conditions are met. Any such use requires permission from the property owner, but a property owner cannot alone give you permission to ride your snowmobile on his land - due to the general prohibition.
In Finnmark and Nord-Troms counties, recreational use of motorized vehicles are permitted on tracks and frozen lakes.
The current goverment has currently allowed 100 municipalities to establish tracks and test recreational use of snowmobiles.

The one we bought was NOK. 10.000,- and is a bit old, but works fine! Lynx GL3900 with a fisty Rotax 600 2 cyl. engine.![]()
(And of course... I do not drive it at all, as that is not allowed here...Might be partly allowed on our own land though)
